The Valley of the Sun’s "Official Kickoff to Swimming Season" is seeking volunteers to help prevent child drownings. Valley Toyota Dealer’s 14thannual Water Safety Day, also presented by SRP Safety Connection will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 9 am to 1:30 pm at South Mountain Community College, 7050 S. 24th Street, Phoenix. At the event, nearly 1,200 first graders will learn critical drowning prevention lessons.
Volunteer opportunities are available for the following:
- Event set-up - Monday, March 25th at 1 pm, at South Mountain Community College - 25 Volunteers needed
- Water Safety Day - Tuesday, March 26th, from��7 am to 1 pm��, at South Mountain Community College - 160 Tour Guides and Assistant Tour Guides needed to escort 1st graders from one activity to the next. Must be able to volunteer for the entire shift.
